Your integrity is more important than your score on the leaderboard. I couldn’t care less how you place on the leaderboard (and neither should you). The two things I do care about (the same and only two you things you should care about) are how well you move and how hard you try. If I’m coaching, I count your reps. I notice when you cut your reps short and still click Rx. I see your quality of movement. I notice when you don’t actually complete the rep but you still count it like it was a good rep. I know it, and you know it. Doing it this way is gonna impede progress and possibly stain your reputation.
Is it done purposely, or is your brain just malfunctioning? Hard to say. But to think grown men and women can’t count to 8 is hard to believe. I say 8 bc I’m gonna use today’s workout as an example… several people continuously did less than 8 pull-ups today and still clicked that Rx button. Don’t ask for names, bc I’m not saying a word.
Scaling is OK. Having a bad workout is OK. Your value as a person isn’t predicated on the score you post on the leaderboard.
Our community and your fitness only thrives when integrity and honesty is at the forefront of our efforts. And I decided to address it bc I know ya’ll are better than this.
We want your time at Forte to be the best hour of your day. Don’t let the leaderboard interfere with that.
I’m here to help. Please reach out if you need anything. Otherwise, I’m done talking about it and we can act as if this is a problem of the past, bc it will be…inshallah.
